Well, it’s been quite busy around here lately. Every since I announced our biggest life change in recent memory, things have been turned upside down and insanely crazy, and when I say crazy- I mean it! There is no rest for the weary mom of this house. Mr. Pea has been gone for six weeks, with four more to go and being a solo mom to three kids with schedules so busy I can barely keep them straight, its been tough. Besides for the kids and my personal commitments, one of the biggest challenges has been working on getting the house set up in Pennsylvania and, more challenging, getting the one here in Arizona ready to rent.
I rarely write about ME on this blog ironically, since I always think that people want to hear about the kids, but today, I felt it was good for my soul to share about my life lately, in a fun A to Z format, just to spice things up. So, here’s what my life has been like lately- and boy do I need a vacation!
A- Always tired
B- Baseball games and practices
C- Car- like I’m in my car all of the time, every day, driving some child some place
D- Doing all of the parenting and household duties
E- Excited to move, but still stressed about all I have to do
F- Facetiming Daddy
G- Gym time, when I find the time…
H- How many more rooms do I have to paint?!
I- I am trying to drink coffee now- and those of you who know me, know I am a tea gal- but tea isn’t cutting it anymore #tootired
J- Junk- finding it and throwing it in the trash (can you say “too many stuffed animals?!”)
K- Keeping track of lunch menus, water bottles, sweatshirts, homework, reading logs, testing schedules and a whole bunch of other things!
L- Landscaping. Irrigation systems. Grass. Mulch.Uggg.
M- Movers scheduled
N- No you cannot play Minecraft on a school day- STILL.
O- Overdue for a haircut
P- Painting every.single.room.in.my.house
Q- Quiet time needed
R- Really looking forward to normalcy
S- Soccer games/practices/scrimmages
T- Teacher appreciation week is coming up?! Oh yes, let’s not forget to plan that!
U- Unlimited episodes of The Walking Dead (as soon at those kids fall asleep!)
V- Vacation: I’m wishing for one!
W- Writing, blogging, catching up
X- eXactly how do I fix a sprinkler system?!
Y- Yard work,
Z- zzzzzzzzz…..
So, yea. I’ve been busy. Who knew getting a house prepped to be rented alone, all while dealing with being a mom and trying to remember to pack my kids a lunch, could be so hard?! We’ve got 27 more days of this fun train left. I know I can do it, but can’t help feeling a little looney every now and again. Thanks for letting me vent a little- I feel a little better now!
